Watercolor illustration of a sprig of two red flowers on card surrounded by embossed border with grape vines and lyres at corners. Illustration 2 1/4" x 1 1/2"; card 4 1/2" x 3". On verso: 4 lines of a poem handwritten, inscribed "FC. to EH Parkes, April, 1824." The verse is the second stanza of the poem "Un Rien" by Mme de Stael. Tissue guard affixed to top.
